Privacy Policy

I'm Adam Winning, a travel advisor with Fora Travel. This page explains what information this site collects, why, and what happens to it. The plain version: I collect the minimum I need to plan your trip and run this site, I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it except with the services named below that make the site work.

What I collect, and why

When you chat with Harbor. Harbor is the AI assistant on this site. Your conversation is processed by Google's Gemini API to generate answers. I review conversation patterns in aggregate to improve Harbor's knowledge. Please don't paste payment card numbers, passport numbers, or other sensitive documents into the chat — Harbor doesn't need them, and trip documents move through secure channels we'll set up together instead.

When you submit a trip intake. If you choose the in-Harbor intake, the form collects your name, email, phone number, birthday, and trip preferences, and stores them in a private database (Google Firestore) so I can plan your trip. If you choose the Fora intake instead, that form is operated by Fora Travel and covered by Fora's privacy policy. Trip requests are answered within two business days.

When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email address goes to Mailchimp, which sends Travel, Rebuilt. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future issues.

How long I keep it

Trip intakes that don't become bookings are deleted after 6 months. Records for booked trips are kept for 12 months after the trip, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. You can ask me to delete your information sooner at any time.

Who else is involved

Google (Firebase, Firestore, Gemini API) — hosting, database, and Harbor's AI processing. Fora Travel — my host agency; bookings are made through Fora and its supplier partners, who receive the traveler information a booking requires. Mailchimp — newsletter delivery. Google Analytics — anonymous site-usage measurement (pages visited, approximate location, device type). No advertising features are enabled, and analytics data is not used to identify you. I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

Cookies

This site uses the cookies its hosting and sign-in systems need to function, plus Google Analytics cookies for the anonymous usage measurement described above. There are no advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion: email me at adam.winning@fora.travel. I respond within two business days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
